We stayed in a hotel located in the heart of the city, making it convenient to explore all the attractions. However, it was frustrating to be kept waiting by the receptionist who was more focused on his computer.
The hotel lacked proper heating, leaving us cold during the night.

I recently stayed at a hotel in the city center, just a short walk away from the bustling central square. This hotel offered excellent value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The rooms were clean with updated furnishings and good bathroom facilities. The staff was friendly and provided great service, even ensuring that the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. One of the highlights was the breakfast included in the stay, which offered a variety of options including eggs.
All was in good condition.

The hotel room was clean and all basic facilities worked. The bed was comfortable and we all slept well. For a city hotel it was very quiet.
1. The television could be improved to include at least one English language channel, preferably news. 2. Breakfast staff were not very welcoming!

Located close to both city center and central station, about 7 and 15 minutes respectively. Generally, good value for the price.
Unwelcoming neighborhood, lack of free internet in room (i was lucky enough to connect to some free network though). Had small issues with room locks.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Brussels and had a fantastic experience. the location was perfect - just a short walk from the city center and the main square. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and visit all the main attractions.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was wonderful and I can't think of anything that could be improved.

Location
The service was poor and despite being charged wifi did not work. The clerk named Mike was extremely rude and has not helped with basic information.

Handy for metro, town centre, st. Catherine's square
Ludicrously complex WiFi set-up which doesn't appear to work if you have a Mac. Front desk staff said it wasn't their problem and to begin with said I'd have to take it up with the service provider (they had already required me to speak to them - in my rusty French - earlier that morning); no chance I said, eventually they relented and only charged for room and not internet fee. This stuff is basic, there's no excuse for over-complicated and inefficient systems. Above all, there's no excuse for saying it's not your problem if you're the hotel and you've contracted out to a sub-standard service.

The hotel lobby has recently been renovated and looks very clean. The staff were professional and courteous. The room was quiet and reasonably spacious. The breakfast buffet was included in the price and was adequate.
The room decor lacked character and was somewhat soulless. There was no internet in the rooms, only in the lobby and it was slow.

it is a great location at St Katherine's it is quiet inside the hotel but nearby are plenty of restaurants and a local metro station. It is a bit old fashioned and has something of a 70s feel about it but then that is all part of travel as an experience. If you want standard bland hotels the chains offer that.
Check in as always was extremely slow and bureaucratic - have found this before at the Astrid as they take endless photocopies of credit card, passport etc.

Good location (close to metro, downtown and restaurants). The hotel was clean the recepcionist was kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable.
The bed linen was old and worn-out. The pillow was too small. Always I had to wait for the receptionist if I wanted something because he was busy all the time. Booked.net informed me that my account will not be charged before my arrival, however it was and with a higher price then it was indicated on Booked.net. When I asked the receptionist I was advised that upon my checkout the difference will be paid back but it's still don't arrive to my account. The difference is only 11 Euros but I feel ramped.

The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to main streets and lively areas. The breakfast offered a variety of options including pastas, beans, croissants, and fruit juices. The room was clean and had a nice shower and bath.

I paid €49 per night for the room over the weekend, this was excellent value for money. The room was large, clean and although basic was exactly what I needed. In terms of standards you could compare the room to an Ibis Hotel but only much cheaper. The staff were also friendly and security aware, for example asking me for more details when I requested my room key having been out for a while. That may seem annoying but it shows that they do check who is coming and going. The location is also good, perhaps 5-10 minutes walk from Grand Place and only two minutes from a major metro stop. I did not try the breakfast, but did try a 24 hours internet pass. This was €10, so not too expensive although I did have problems connecting. After about an hour or so however it worked fine. Finally for a budget hotel the room had a bath, something which I sorely miss in most hotels these days. In general I would recommend this hotel for weekend trips.
There was no mini bar in the room, which is always welcome after a long trip late at night. Some of the paintwork could have been tidied up in the room, but overall this was such a small issue there is no reason to kick up a fuss.
